Hi! I love your videos and your energy! I was wondering if you could analyse (how the techniques work, etc) the piece Austro by Giorgio Tedde. Thanks!!!

Hello Sarah, I really loved this chatty video full of interesting topics. Besides, you really make me want to buy the Bernolin (all 4 of them) which would be very, very bad for my bank account.

Hello Sarah:

As ALWAYS, I very much enjoyed your most recent video! I have been attempting to rationalize/justify the purchase of one of the Bernolin resin modern pitch alto recorders, and this last video has done nothing to dissuade me...

However, what ALSO caught my attention was your reference to the Boss looping device...As a primary reason that I have not yet purchased the "Bernolin" was due the fact that as I have begun to play in a couple of "Blues" music jam ensembles, I invested in electronics to allow me to "compete" with other instruments, (electric guitars/basses, keyboards, saxophones, drums, etc., ), depleting my financial resources...(audio chain includes mic., mic pre-amp/effects loop pedal, parametric EQ, reverb., and delay pedals, and an instrument amp.).

I am genuinely curious about hearing about YOUR experiences with YOUR foray into "electronics", what you might have tried, used, discarded, and why...as well as any suggestions you might have regarding application of such "magical" 20th-21st century devices, keeping in mind that "one must not toss out the baby with the bathwater", so to speak, such that musicality must always take precedence, as one always attempts to honor the composer and the music itself...
Peace/Namaste...
T.A.K.

P.S. Feedback continues to be an issue, in that when I increase the mic gain to be heard via my amp., I unintentionally ALSO pick-up some other instruments/creating an occasional feedback loop...

Umm, I am SO READY for Hildegard von Bingen. When I was a music student at university, my friends gave each other nicknames during our first semester of music history, so I was Hildegard, my friend Alex was Dowland, we had a Guido (d'Arezzo)...

If some thing of my son's does not have bite marks on it, he does not like it, or he can
't figure out how to get it into his mouth.

The hot summer has lead me to read lots of disc world books. I found it bit hard to play the recorder with really sweaty hands..

Hi Sarah - The title to this video allows me to segue into a question. You said in some previous post that, "Wolf Hall" was a favorite novel. With this recommendation I bought a copy. Found it totally unengaging, unbearable. I'd be interested as to what intrigued you about this book.
