New year, new baby 💁‍♂️ : Polaroid SLR 680

Quick video of some scenes recorded right after I took some pictures with the Polaroid. Wasn’t expecting to make an episode, but I wanted to share those moments and those very first shots taken with this camera.

As a film photography nerd, I always wanted to try different medium in terms of photography. Shooting Polaroid was in my To-Do-List, just by curiosity. After a long patience, I finally managed to pick up this particular model, the SLR 680. Rarer in the market so more difficult to find one compared to a SX-70.

Technically this is basically a SX-70 Sonar but this model has a built-in flash and take 600 film (for info it is possible to modify an SX-70 to make it compatible with 600 film). Of course as it’s name implies, it’s a SLR (single lens reflex) system, meaning that what you see in the viewfinder is the picture you will get. The autofocus is powered by a sonar module : fast and not bad at all, and if needed (for instance when shooting through a glass) the focus can be done manually by disengaging the autofocus with a knob for more control. Couldn’t expect more from a Polaroid camera.

Really excited from those first shots, will definitely shoot and experiment more with this camera.
