This is a great WORSHIP song, the rhythm is so easy to follow the lyrics are a great testimony kids will be speaking over their lives. I teach 130 elementary students each day and this is such a fun song. Thank you so much for giving to the Lord and posting this on UTube!!

The Gift
Sitting in a church one night and eating of God's word
Submersed in all His presence, as the message was then heard
Thinking of all he had done and all he brought me though
My heart was filled with so much love there's little i could do

Then came the time for us to give. The plate was passed around
As people gave their gifts to Him, my heart was feeling down
I had no money not a cent no gift to give my King
And as my eyes began to swell my spirit was then grieve

What could i give, what did i have that's fitting for the King
Especially for the Lord of Lords, who gave His life for me
i wanted so to give a gift yet noting did i have
Though rich in love i had no gift that fit into my hand

So on a paper that I found i began to write
A letter to the King of Kings telling of my plight

Lord you know i love you, your everything to me
But Lord there's noting that i have that's worthy of my king
If i had great riches I'd give them all and more
But my pockets they are empty for I am very poor
But what i have i give to you for it's all i have you see
Please use this gift as you will for the gift is me

As i put it in the offering plate my tears were falling down
But then His Love encompassed me before they hit the ground
I felt Him wispier in my ear the gift you gave received
