my older brothers and their friends always listened to cheap trick, kiss and aerosmith in 1977-1980. Everyone had holes in their jeans and a plastic comb in their back pockets. Cause no one had money. They all did ludes too. I can't believe it took me 40 years to understand how absolutely incredible and groundbreaking the 2nd album was!!

Had a live band at a junior high school dance back in the late 70s that jammed this, that's when my buddies and we decided we where gonna have a band. The band named, Panache, killed it that night, they where awesome

A fav song of this CA born Southern Girl ❤ & In Color was for sure my fav cassette in 1977! Saw Cheap Trick's 1980 Dream Police Tour as a screaming teenage fangirl in San Diego, surely at a 90's festival show & when they opened for Aerosmith in 2004 @ Little Rock's Alltel Arena ( just found my ticket!) So I was excited to see them again this past Sat 9/17/22, 20 rows back @ Oaklawn Casino's event center in Hot Springs, Arkansas, 50 miles from home😃 At 59, I wasn't the youngest or oldest in the crowd but I may've been the most disappointed 😒 Too loud, even with earplugs, didn't sound great with lots of screeching from Robin & couldn't understand Rick when he talked & introduced the band. I yelled out for "Southern Girls" several times- Come On guys, you're in The South! But they didn't include it in their rather short 1.5 hr set🤷‍♀️ Oh well, just goes to prove we can't recapture all our beloved memories but doesn't mean we should ever stop making new ones!👍Met some cool people & glad I went to what Rick said was their last U.S show before heading to Japan- where they've been hugely popular since 1978's Live At Budokhan❤

Just a pure classic! Saw them at my county fair last year. Had tickets to see them in 1988 couldn't make it because of work. So last year at the fair I dubbed it the cheap trick redemption tour and they kicked ass!

0:15 -- Sounds like the guitar effect from Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit in the Sky"... Besides the single & album versions, they've also released the demo from 1975.  I put all 3 versions in my CT playlist. Thanks for the upload!
