I get goosebumps listening to Mufti. The feeling that j get listening to Mufti is indescribable. Subhan Allah. I’m a muslim I’ve never been 100% committed to my religion, but recently I’ve been spending more time changing my ways and getting closer to Allah.

I'm from Sri Lanka. Here in our country they cremate muslims when they die due to Covid 19. A 20 days baby also been cremated 😢😢😢. Include us in your duas.

May Allah bless you @ Mufti Menk, this khutba is a response to a type of problem am having with my sister. I was ready to give up on her though we lost both our parents 8 years ago. Am their caretaker. Alhamdulillah Allah has been very with me taking care of them. But recently she got a bad friendship and doesn’t listen to me no more and becomes more and more arrogant and hard to deal with her.

My husband's oldest brother has very difficult personality. My husband tried his whole life to endure his insults that became worse and worse. When my husband was severely ill he never once asked how is he doing, instead he slandered him in the worse possible way. He tried really hard to be patient and helped him when he was sick, went to visit him every day, stayed with him...only to be insulted repeatedly. They are not young and my husband hopped that he will change but every time he got so hurt that it became unbearable. When he compared my husband to the war criminal because of his beard ans to the pig because of the scars on his face (from illness), my husband snapped and left him without a word. He cut relationship, he said he was on the verge of losing sanity. We hear so many bad things that he is talking about us but we never slander him back. My husband is hurt and sad that he had to cut tie with his own brother but his abusive brother doesn't change at all. May Allah swt forgive my husband and open hart to his brother. Aameen

*THE POWER OF ISTIGHFAR*
People often forget the importance of the simple yet powerful dua (supplication) Istighfar i.e., saying "Astaghfirullah" (I seek forgiveness of Allah).
Some of the benefits and virtues include:
• Istighfar removes anxiety.
• Istighfar increases dua acceptance.
• Istighfar opens the door of sustenance.
• Istighfar opens the door of mercy.
• Istighfar opens the door of knowledge.
• Istighfar is also gateway of productivity.
• Istighfar relieves you.

قُلۡ یَـٰعِبَادِیَ ٱلَّذِینَ أَسۡرَفُوا۟ عَلَىٰۤ أَنفُسِهِمۡ لَا تَقۡنَطُوا۟ مِن رَّحۡمَةِ ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ یَغۡفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ جَمِیعًاۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ
Say, ˹O Prophet, that Allah says, ˺ “O My servants who have exceeded the limits against their souls! Do not lose hope in Allah’s mercy, for Allah certainly forgives all sins. He is indeed the All-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (53)

Surah Az-Zumar 39, Ayah 53

*Syed Al Istighfar*

Hazrat Shaddad bin Aus, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates that the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said, “The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is:
Arabic:
‎اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لا إِلَهَ إِلا أَنْتَ خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ وَأَبُوءُ لَكَ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَإِنَّهُ لا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلا أَنْتَ
Pronunciation:
“Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa Anta Khalaqtani wa ana abduka, wa ana ‘ala ahdika wa wa’dika mastata’tu, A’udhu bika min Sharri ma sana’tu, abu’u Laka bi ni’matika ‘alaiya, wa Abu’u Laka bidhanbi faghfirli fa innahu la yaghfiru dhunuba illa anta” 
Translation:
“O Allah! You are my Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but You. You created me and I am Your slave, and I am faithful to my covenant and my promise as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from all the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, and I confess to You all my sins. So I entreat You to forgive my sins, for nobody can forgive sins except You.”

The Holy Prophet ﷺ added. “If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, they will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, they will be from the people of Paradise.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Kitab al-Da‘wat)

*Dua of Yunis (A.S.)*

And ˹remember˺ when the Man of the Whale stormed off ˹from his city˺ in a rage, thinking We would not restrain him. Then in the ˹veils of˺ darkness he cried out, *“There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except You. Glory be to You! I have certainly done wrong.”* (87) So We answered his prayer and rescued him from anguish. And so do We save the ˹true˺ believers. (88)
Surah Al-Anbiya' 21, Ayah 87 - 88

Arabic:
‎لَّاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّاۤ أَنتَ سُبۡحَـٰنَكَ إِنِّی كُنتُ مِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ
Pronunciation:
“La ilaha illa anta subhanaka, inni kuntu mina zaalimeen”
Translation:
“There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except You. Glory be to You! I have certainly done wrong”

*Subhan Allahi Wa Bihamdihi*

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:“He who recites “Subhan Allahi Wa Bihamdihi” in the morning and in the evening 100 times, will not be surpassed on the Day of Judgement by anyone with better deeds except the one who says the same words or more.” (Muslim)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever says “Subhan Allahi Wa Bihamdihi” 100 times a day, all of his sins will be forgiven, even if they are as abundant as the foam of the sea.” (Bukhārī)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever says “Subhan Allahi Wa Bihamdihi”, a palm-tree will be planted for him in Paradise.” (Tirmidhī)

Arabic:
‎سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ
Pronunciation:
“Subhan Allahi wa bihamdihi”
Translation:
“Glory and praise is to Allah”
