Great reaction. Her album is very innovative and there is so much music on there that you cannot compare it to any of her prior music (which, to me, is better than anybody). Sure, there is some classic Aurora on there too, but it's 16 songs and it is quite the ride. Love the album, expect to be wildly amazed. She just did a live Vevo of this song stripped down and it is amazing. Thanks

Brian Eno, who remixed this, is the King of Ambient.

I felt the full power of the track at night, listening to it, standing on the balcony, watching the approach of a summer thunderstorm. A wonderful, unusual piece.

This is the essence of Aurora, not only are all her songs different but she constantly rearranges them. Of the different versions of this song I go back to her Vevo performance. Stunning.

This song and "Starvation" are my absolute favorites off this album. I really appreciate her exploring her lower register on this album and it shows beautifully in this song. The deep folky feel of this song is also incredible. She also just released a live vevo of this one today. She is my favorite artist by far.

Watch the live Vevo video of this, dropped the other day. IMHO it is perhaps the most powerful live performance by Aurora ever, and there is some serious competition for that. The making of this mix with Brian Eno, is marvellous, with Aurora being Aurora. She gives Brian Eno a lock of her hair in a little glass bottle for good luck, and hugs him from behind.

Always love your insight and depth of feeling when you react to an AURORA song. You add a perspective that isn't always readily apparent and it expands the level of understanding that gives all of us another way of looking outside of our own world. Thank you so very much.

You have to check out a live version of your blood she did in cologne. It's solo performance with her on piano. It was recorded by a fan. It is absolutely amazing

Just subscribed so I wouldn't miss this next leg of your Aurora journey. A good place to go next is the two Vevo live videos, and then Starvation.
This new batch of releases has floored me. There's a prevailing sense of _urgency_ now that we have only seen in glimpses before. This one is actually not very representative of that. Much as I respect Brian Eno and the legend that he is, I think this remix falls a bit on the bland side (although I get the underlying concept). The Vevo version brings out the full potential of the song.
But I feel the new manifesto is "Starvation". That's the key to the new Aurora. The music is fantastic, the video is fantastic, and when they come together it redifines the whole genre of music videos. This isn't entertainment; it's an instrument of empowerment, a battle cry. There's just no way you can remain unaffected.
From the album...no, I can't recommend any specific track. They all feel equally important.

This is the Brian Eno remix version. The album version is more of a medieval vibe, and I'm not sure which one I like better, because they're both awesome. She also just dropped a live at Vevo version today which is absolutely fantastic!

The new album is so great, with a wide variety of styles and experimentation. You've barely scratched the surface. Hope you get to the "Starvation" music video soon, because if you think this is her reinventing herself, you ain't seen nothing yet. 😏

I guesss much can be said, also about mixing in sounds of nature. Many of her songs are not easy listening. At least to me, she sort of demands my attention. You have to lean back, take a breath, relax and let her music, lyrics and performance flow over and through you. It is not something for the hit lists perhaps. But it is mesmerizing if you let it in. I find the mixing with nature sounds fascinating and it adds so much depth and it is so well done. The whale sound at the end and then her breaths into the microphone. Wow!

Very interesting comments Jeff! Your reactions always add to the experience! Thank you!👌🙏🏼❤️

The live from vevostudio version is even more amazing imo. It's more raw, having more energy.

The groove and instrumentation on this one reminds me a lot of
Mari Boine's Eagle Brother as you did a reaction to some time ago.
I think Boine is a big inspirasjon to Norwegian artists like Aurora and Katrine Stenbekk (Kalandra)
I love the use of nature sound.
It's not a new thing bands like Pink Floyd did it in the late 60s.
The Floyd album UMMAGUMMA(1969) is full of it.
Aurora is kind of Progy and I love it.
Great reaction and analyse ❤

I think musically this song is very similar to the song The Seed. Of course different instrumentation and slower tempo. Can musicians give their opinion on this?
