I tried OpenAI new ChatGPT Agent - Operator for Web Design!

I tried OpenAI new Computer Using Agent (CUA). This is a new 2025 release based on GPT4o-vision and its meant to control a web browser to perform tasks. OpenAI done a really good job at creating something unique while also secure when it comes to AI agents. ChatGPT natural progression to becoming an agent is going to be an interesting one, especially when it comes to web design and development. While I wouldn't let this CUA touch my github repo to accidently delete anything, the day is closing in when agents start completing real world tasks daily!

I work in the field of accessibility. I saw a similar type of use case demonstrated at a conference where a blind user was using speech to text to direct the AI, who would then perform the navigation and provide verbal page descriptions for them. The example was ordering flowers from a website for someone's birthday. It was a great idea that really stuck with me.

Its cool, but definitely the use cases I've seen so far are quicker done by the operator of the operator (lol) - I think somewhere I would like to see as a developer would be to get all of the blog posts on some clients Wix website and copy and paste them into their new wordpress website. Manual content migration is a pain in the ass!!!

Do you think that operator can be able to performa actions on a backoffice? For example if i have 50 shoes to upload i can ask to operator to log in my BO, and step by step select descriptions, upload photos, prices and so on...
