So many ways this song can be interpreted as.
1. "Our feelings never truly convey how we feel to the other due to the digital age."
2. "With so many opportunities at our fingertips. Being with someone holds us back from opportunities and potential."
3. "We cause our own misery by leaving behind the ones we love for chasing dreams or goals."
4. "No matter what in this digital age it's hard to truly have another persons focus."

and sometimes things just are not right. Some things that we could not do years ago but can now in this age make specific things feel shallow no matter how genuine the intentions are. The most simplest being "Distance is darkness" because being alone isn't consoling even with that random text or digital media that says how much he/she loves you.

This song and video is absolutely ethereal and dreamlike, like it dances like a mad candle on the line between the reality of love in the 21st century and the madness of it all, it's one of those songs that just has texture especially that ending instrumental which just breathes and ends the song in a way that leaves the listener in awe.

I immediately thought of the 2013 movie "Her" (as well as Lost In Translation) when I saw Daniela's music video! The concepts and themes of the movie really resonated through "Digital Age"...not only in the warm/cold colours but also in the city lights to contrast between the sense of isolation/unity between the two people. And *especially* in Daniela's lyrics and the conversation between her and her love interest in this music video too. I can die happy now knowing that "Her", my all time favourite movie has been recreated and reimagined by Daniela, my all time favourite artist. What a flawless duo! This music video was honestly so articulate and really well thought out so kudos to Daniela, Jeremy Comte and the rest of her talented crew for this magnificent piece of artwork 😍
