Battle Royale: 7-Way Heavyweight Naked Bike Shootout – Street

What do you get when you put together seven of the biggest and baddest naked bikes on the market today and let them loose on the street? One half of one hell of a Heavyweight Naked Bike Shootout, that’s what. Here are the bikes we have in store:

- Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory
- BMW S1000R
- Ducati Streetfighter V4S
- Kawasaki Z H2 SE
- KTM 1290 Super Duke R
- MV Agusta Brutale 1000RR
- Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS

With a combined total of more than 1100 horsepower on tap, we let them loose on the streets of SoCal to see which one is the best at not only ripping up the canyons but also cruising along down the freeway and navigating congested city streets. Because it’s not always about being as agro as possible – these bikes need to be able to do a little bit of everything.

And stay tuned to Part 2 of this test, where we ride them on track!

Chapters:
0:00 Introduction
4:53 MV Agusta Brutale 1000RR

People should stop whining about wind when riding a naked motorcycle. Stay in a car if the wind bothers you. lol

I got a 2016 Tuono V4 for the simple fact I wanted a V4 standard but at a cheaper price. Man did I ever feel like I hit the mark. 5K on the miles and man this bike just keeps asking for more, I feel like it is the best bang for buck in the more affordable V4 group. You never feel out dated if you get a Italian bike you can afford.

Great video. I’ve ridden them all except the BMW and the MV. The KTM was a clear winner for me, especially considering the $6k price difference, no cruise control or gas gauge on the Streetfighter. I bought a Super Duke 1290 GT for the added comfort. Best bike I’ve ever owned by far.

Aprilia's V4 has a permanent place in my heart.

Test ridden the KTM, Street fighter, Aprilia.
Purchased the Aprilia. It’s an absolute animal.

As extraordinary as the SF might be, it could never win the "street" part of the shootout without a cruise control and such a small fuel tank size....

Love these comparison videos you guys have been doing. Cheers!

No mention of the lack of torque of the Streetfighter in the midrange, or the high fuel consumption

Pls include new Suzuki GSX-S 1000 and Yamaha MT-10 in next year review, I think they can also give a lot of fun and good driving’s experience.

I owned the SDR, had too many mechanical issues, had no power over 120-mph, but my life changed when I got my Ducati Streetfighter V-4S with full Akropavic/Up-Mapp, bike is just phenomenal!!! SP incoming this

Excellent shootout, great production.
Excited for the track part as well.
I'd get the KTM because street-use and I love the looks/supermoto theme/non-active suspension.

I'm following this test from Germany. I have owned a 1200 RS myself for 3 months now. Wow. Obviously you have a completely different Triumph motorcycle overseas? Have some horsepower been sunk in the sea during the shipping? What other regulations do you have in addition to the indicators from Disneyland? I really don't want to put the ST on the throne, but so far behind and "not outstanding"? Funny: BMW is at the forefront of all testers in Europe because this bike obviously offers the best overall package for country roads. In this test there are 2 bikes ahead that cannot use their nominal performance advantages on country roads ... By the way, I also think that the Ducati and Aprilia are absolutely top bikes, but this test result is a bit weird .. .. Everyone stay healthy.

You guys rock! Your videos IMO are honest and I enjoy the different perspectives. I had the 21 V streetfighter and I did not enjoy it. IMO the hype of the Tuono is on point. I am the very satisfied owner of a 21 V4 Tuono 1100 Factory. Keep up the good work guys and don't change your review format!

I really appreciate bike reviews. Cause most of us will have to purchase these things without getting to ride them first. So its great for the common consumer to get an idea of what they are getting beyond just looks.

Good article. Some cracking bikes in the test!! I like the ktm and the Ducati the best. Rode them all in real life apart from the Agusta. American power on those bikes seems a good bit down on the uk tests I’ve seen. The regulations over there seem so restrictive. Looking forward to the 2nd part guys. 🤘🏻

MV is just so special, no matter what anyone says.

I love that KTM. Pair it with the BMW 1250 GS in the garage and it’s done
