The Xbox Blade Exclusive Controversy Is Weird

Today we're going over the discussion around Blade after it was revealed at The Game Awards and why some think it could be heading to PlayStation as well, even though Microsoft owns Bethesda.

Well if you stop and think about it, the last game that Arkane Leon put out was Death Loop and that released in September 2021. So we might see Blade late 2025 or some time in 2026 because it would have been a five year development gap for them at that point. They had to be working on something all that time.

Regardless of it being the Xbox or PlayStation fanboys complaining, this only seems to happen with Xbox games. Honestly if you have the console it's coming on... who cares? Why would you be mad that other people are getting it? I WANT my friends on other platforms to get games.

A bunch of ppl with platforms or working with platforms are so excited about a blade game but also all simultaneously left in the dark to its exclusivity and just like we would’ve all been about 11 years ago just sat waiting for more details because it’s 2023 and everything needs to be monetized….. the collective space of creators all post about how they don’t know something that was intentionally not disclosed for a game that’s not gonna be out for 2 or so years…..

Is it safe now to say after explaining things in that manner just how much the content community as a whole is either starving to make money off of any scrap of “news. AND/ OR simply desperate for some legitimate discussion worthy news ??

This isn't weird to me. This is just what Rareware did with Conker on 64. Yes it's an N64 exclusive and Rare was under Nintendo at the time, but Rare fully published Conker.

So much fuss over exclusivity for a game - if Nintendo or Sony announce a game - it's automatically an exclusive no questions asked - Microsoft does it and all hell breaks loose... Just doesn't make sense. A Microsoft own developer and we still discussing this...don't even know why this is weird for you bud...

I honestly don't understand the issue with exclusivity. Exclusive games sell hardware. If Microsoft has any more major exclusives then I'll buy a series x. I already own a ps5 and a switch. So good for them.

The MCU Blade movie comes out November 7, 2025 so maybe theyre trying to release it along side the movie to get the marketing hype. Otherwise if its 2026 or later then it might be next gen Xbox after Series S, X.
