Relationship of Physical Quantities

For any two physical quantities having a direct relationship, x and y increase proportionately, the graph is a straight line. The quotient of the two quantities is a constant, K = y/x.

For any two physical quantities having an inverse relationship, x increases and y decreases proportionately, the graph is a hyperbola. The product of the two quantities is a constant, K = yx.
