I wonder if the hybrid issues are because of a large number of manufacturers now producing them. I bet Toyota's figure is a lot lower than that. My 13 year old Prius is the most reliable car I've ever had, and it's got 126, 000k on the clock. I did 50, 000k before changing the oil and filters, and despite that the mechanic said the engine looked almost new inside. I suppose EV issues are due to new tech. Once we hit a certain plateau I think the tech will settle in a bit, become rock solid.
