I'd like to reiterate what I said in the end of this video.

It's very possible that a small company who felt their passion project was being nipped in the bud and an enormous conglomerate that wanted to preserve its working relationship with its employees decided the best thing for the pair of them was to steer clear of one card among thousands. I know it sucks for US, the card-playing public, but I much more appreciate the knowledge of why Air Neos has been missing than I would appreciate owning a common copy from a side set.

No need to open old wounds, re-litigate a decades-old dispute, or god forbid, harass the parties. They settled it, that's enough for me. BE COOL!

Air Neos was drawn by Hatsuki Tsuji, YGO GX’s story board animator and director. The man is well respected working on a ton of anime like Pokémon and Cardfight and it’s very doubtful the poor man would’ve known anything about Ravedactyl. That said, when you're basing your designs around comic book superheroes there's always a chance you'll fly too close to the sun and that seems to be what's happened here, a damn shame honestly.

small correction: Not all Elemental heroes are tributes to western Super heroes.
Both of Jadens aces, Neos and The Earth/Terra-Firma, are homages to Japans premiere super hero, Ultraman. Not only does Neos flatout use specific attacks from Ultraman, his original gimmick harkens back to the Giant of Light as well. Ultramans original gimmick was that the titular hero could only transform for 3 minutes before being forced to transform back because the atmossphere of planet earth was toxic to him.
Does this sound familiar with the original Neos Fusions needing to return to the extra deck if Neo-Space isn't on the field....?

also, the N-Spacians with whome Neos fuses are also very much inspired by the colourful cast of gigantic Kaiju Ultraman regulary battled with.

Whats more surprising to me in ALL these years they didnt redesign the card so It could be used UNLESS the wording of the "no more printing" was so direct and harsh that even a redesign could be considered too close to the sun. At least this makes MUCH more sense then all the rumored reasons this card was dead.
