This composition gives me a wonderfully mysterious, moody feeling of contemplation and reflection. I can imagine myself walking through the ruins of some ancient university, trying to imagine the lives that not only occupied the building and studied there, but also the lives of all those that those students interacted with, influenced, and touched on once they left the university. It is a beautiful yet relaxed feeling of quiet meditation and exploration. As with probably all feelings, it's hard to get the exact idea across to an audience. You can only point them in the right direction and hope they experience as fully as you do. This music reminds me of the San Juan Suite by Michael Gettel. I had the good fortune of living in the San Juans in the late 80's, just before and when he released the album. I know some of the places the tunes are named for and his music, for me, always captured the beauty and tranquility of the islands. Since then, I never heard another album that did so well capturing the spirit of a place until I heard this one tonight (Jan. 30, 2023).

Just read the entire book for the first time all at once to this looped over and over again. A spiritual experience. I came here a naive little girl, excited to read a fun dark academia book about fall and friendship. I laughed, I cried, I felt guilty, I was surprised to look out my window and see there are still leaves on the trees. I am now a new person hardened but nonetheless grateful for my time here. Thank you for the lovely soundtrack that got me through this journey.
