The legendary EL84 ECC83 valve combination is very well known amongst electric guitarists. This old amp has been around for a while and the Hoofbag has a play through it. This movie was filmed just before completion of its refurbishment process. We need to install the side mounted input jack socket and the PWR on/off switch. This old amp has been through some rough treatment: it was waterlogged for a while owing to having been stored and forgotten about in the basement of our abode. It was left to dry out for a few years and some component upgrading was more recently performed. The potentiometers were renewed, with new-old-stock ones of a similar 1960s vintage. careful scrutiny of the cabinet will reveal repair and a new coat of varnish.

The fact that it still works is a credit to those early engineers who designed the original circuit: Mullard, who also made the valves therein. The amp outputs, as measured on our watt meter, 7 watts 'RMS', but sounds, for some reason or other, much louder. Love it!

Interesting, wonder how it would compare to a Marshall class 5
