Ad-hoc committee set up to facilitate dialogue between IBA and IOc

The International Boxing Association IBA has set up an Ad-hoc Committee to facilitate dialogue with the International Olympic Committee to resolve the issues between the two organizations. IBA delivered a report to IOC yesterday in a bid to resolve outstanding issues and have the Boxing governing Body reinstated back to the Olympic Movement ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics.The IBA was suspended in 2019 due to concerns over judging and refereeing, financial stability and governance. Boxing remains off the initial programme for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics. IBA secretary general and chief executive George Yerolimpos said they have sent all the requested responses and documents to the IOC to ensure a fair evaluation of the IBA and its progress done.
