Guyanese born here 🙋🏽‍♀️ raised in Brooklyn, NY.
Let’s be clear…that’s a Guyanese person cooking a Jamaican dish. All the ingredients he used (including the ketchup, is a Caribbean staple). When i cook oxtail, i make it the Jamaican way because that’s not something us as Guyanese people grew up eating. You can find it in a Guyanese restaurant in any part of NY, but it doesn’t taste the same.
He definitely YT’d or googled the Jamaican version.
It looked banging and I’m in favor of his technique.
