Bo was a huge star and influence on rock and roll. If you take him and Chuck Berry and Little Richard out of the equation you have absolutely nothing.

During the winter of 1989/90, I saw Bo Diddley in a small venue bar in Columbus, Ohio just across the street from the Main Gate of Ohio State University, and since I got there early so as to procure a good position (the bar) from which to view him, I'd downed four or five Budweisers by the time he began to play. I was 47 years old and going through a very difficult divorce (is there any other kind?). I recalled when I was about 13 he was fast becoming one of the original founders of R&R. Well, he didn't let anyone down that night with his two-hours of almost non-stop music. I figure that Bo was about 61 at the time but I gotta tell you that he did not slow down during that time. One tune after another and that place was rockin'! What a show and what a performer! A great memory!

I spent an evening with Bo in Montreal. After he finished his show he went straight to the control booth and had a listen. Consumate professional. Perfect gentleman .. we talked until about four in the morning.

He had a pick-up band from upstate ..

He was living in a trailer somewhere in Florida.

He gave much more than he got .. in this life.

You a good man, Bo ..

Bo, his daughter Tammi, and her band The Offspring used to play at the Hogsbreath Saloon in Gainesville, Florida where I worked shucking oysters in the 80's. They were good friends.

One of the most BAD ASS songs in all of human history! Bo Diddly had to have had crazy high levels of testosterone- the man was a force to be reckoned with.

Whoever put that voiceover on at the end obviously wasn't a Bo Diddley fan.

I LOVED BO DIDDLY'S SONG "SAY MAN".  IT WAS VERY POPULAR WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER.

Three voiceover artists gave a thumbs down for Bo Diddley's guitar getting in the way of their work.

Great version of the song. Too bad it wasn’t recorded without those damn interruptions.

My Aunts were in a 60's group called "The Results" and toured with Bo Diddly a little bit in '66 with Dick Clark productions. Said he was super cool. The Byrds were on a few shows as well and they of course said Crosby was a total prick. HaHA!!
