the simplicity of wiz is what made it enjoyable for me. i loved pvp early 4th age and it was so much easier to get into.

Roshambo took 7 different schools, each based on a specific concept, and turned them into buff/debuff trades. School identity died. Spellements (upgrade paths) should be about school identity and not roshambo, for example, a balance spell should have upgrade paths where said spell makes damage from one specific school and then has an extra effect related to said school (ice would shield, myth would stun, fire would be an ot...). Thats what an upgrade path should look like: offers different ways to play a school within the realm of its identity. What is being done right now is just awful.

On top of that, every time a spell offers some sort of problem It is just PvP banned instead of fixing the design flaws of the current pvp system. Lots of spells that were totally fine before this roshambo bs were just removed.

And the fact that they practically killed 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 and low level pvp, it just leaves so much less for the casual pvpers

Rhoshambo wouldve been okay if it came out when the game started, but pushing it to players late in it is what caused the troubles

Roshambo should have never been added period, plus why cater to the competitive side of your game when 90% of players play wiz in a casual setting.

This is so spot on. The sole reason I havent gotten back into the game is because of the new(ish) pvp system. Any returning player will take one look at all the spell changes, roshambo, archmastery and feel completely lost/disgusted. Not to mention the players that have spent money chasing lore spells, only to see them nerfed or changed in some way with new mechanics. They ruined a perfect game. A shame indeed.

My friend and I use to play this game a lot, hell when the new world drops we will probably pick it up again. We actually like the archemastery/dual school system. Problem is we just genuinely hate roshambo and after we discuss it, it’s because of the lack of school identity caused by this.

In my opinion, either create another pvp split where we have classic pvp pre rhoshmabo (early 2020 and before) and post rhoshambo which is current pvp or completely remove rhoshambo and rework basically all the spells in the game again to e

I did 2nd age PVP, apart from cheaters who force you out of game, that era was FUN. I planned to return. Rhoshambo has ZERO to do with Wizard101. PVP should be using cards you can play while questing.

At least liahm is the only content creator that got balls to talk about the real problems of the game.. I just wish you talked about the fact that wizard101 is more shifting for raid and pvp players instead of pve which made it popular

Maybe they're trying to make the game better for people who enjoy more complex combat systems, but it's screwing regular PVE players who aren't amazing strategists over royally, and they've made it clear that they don't care about that. It seems like they no longer want to make the game something that their players enjoy, they just want to make it whatever the heck THEY want to make it, players be damned.

Rhoshambo killed the game in every way, putting in raids that can only be completed by an elite group of people throwing out casual players, then only made some schools better at pvp like death balance myth. It killed all the possible strategies in the game not to mention the pvp team, for me it was just enough to add some basic cards like remove blades/traps, the followers had to be nerfed and only the myth ones remained unchanged because it is the minion school not the school of changing shields for traps, fire had to remain damage over time and healing over time, death had to attack and heal but not too overwhelmed. Vita had to be a bit like myth, having good minions and normal healing that wasn't too exaggerated, balance had to be a mix of all the schools and had to master the battle with weaknesses and combined attacks of elemental and spiritual schools, ice had to be damage in the norm they give over time and very high defense a bit like fire only without healing, if they understand that the basics of the game are those many people will play again because honestly now there is no good reason to play it.

Roshambo ruined wizard101. Pvp will NEVER be fixed unless the devs admit that they were wrong and completely scrap roshambo. Revert pvp back to 2020 and fix pvp from there with a different path.

Noo cuz i dont even play wiz anymore I quit ~when 140 was the max level and they added the school pips after and theyre soo confusing to me like whats the point of a school if you can just get pips from other schools?? such a weird choice

Can you ask why tf they keep buffing death? I don't do max cause i'm not wasting my time with it especially when the devs should realize their playerbase is mostly adults now that do not have the kind of time we did as kids. Whales carry this game, because I know our playbase is shrinking by the day. It's as though the devs are driving in a car (this game) on the edge of a cliff, and keep shifting weight to where we, the players, think it's about to plummet to hell, but somehow these morons that caused this car to be on the edge of the cliff in the first place just keep it from going all the way
