Cleansing oil cleanses and then washes off with water. However, baby oil will leave a oily residue, causing acne to acne-prone skin.

When I was a beginner at makeup, I used baby oil to remove my makeup. Then, when I was in high school, I used Nivea cream. I didn't have any major skin problems with either. But once I started using cleansing oil, I couldn't go back to baby oil and nivea. Cleansing oil removes eye makeup and sunscreen faster, I don't get styes anymore, and my skin doesn't get as red as it did when I used baby oil and nivea. It's not that baby oil is bad, it's just that cleansing oil has more advantages.

I use organic coconut oil and they work like magic they dont hurt your eyes and give you extra moisture

it does melt makeup quicker, but since its not meant to cleanse, and also it isn't soluble with water, then the cleansing oil is better for this since its meant to do so.

Actually, baby oil isn't made for cleaning, it just protects a little bit the skin and makes it soft.

I use baby oil to remove lipstick and its great for dry skin to add a little moisture in the skin

my grandma always taught me to use baby oil on my mascara to get it to melt off my lashes so theyd still grow

Baby oil will cause acne. Use it for massages, for moisturizing the body from time to time but not on the face.
I personally recommend hydrophilic oil plus foam when wearing heavy makeup and SPF (I have sensitive skin that is dry and I get white and black comedones easily).
Micellar water for everyday use. Enzyme powder 1-2 a week.

Most of mass produced cheap cleansing oil use mineral oil as base, which same as baby oil. Some would add emulsifier & surfactant to give that oil to milk effect.
