For ladybugs, plant a few roses. They'll come for the aphids. If you let some perennial stems and dried leaves stay on the ground over winter, the ladybugs will establish well. I now have a huge population of overwintering ladybugs. They especially like to hibernate among the dried strawberry leaves over winter. (and the bumblebees are crazy attracted to the lavender)

Just watched this weeks video. I really enjoyed it. The dream philosophy was very moving. My first year, I’m dooming NoDig, I have lots of dreams, especially looking forward to tasting my first pea pods any day now, and my first tomatoes.

Thanks for the abundance of good information. Well, I'm going out to harvest my onions. They are starting to bolt. Cheers

Here in the UK we have had 2 months of unseasonable hot weather with wall to wall sunshine followed by storms with 70mph winds followed by a couple of weeks of constant rain so I dont know how successful this years crops are going to be

Scott I’d like to elaborate on my reasons that you are my favorite YouTube gardening channel:

As an educator you are beyond bonafide with your abundant wealth of knowledge and experience. You are on-point, precise, concise, and very clear in your teachings and delivery of information. You choose the right words so not to beat around the bush to waste time saying or giving unnecessary information in your videos, thus you are considerate of your viewers’ watching time.

As a person you are kind, emphatic, friendly, and genuine. As someone of your level, you are very humble and you care about your subscribers and viewers. You take time to answer questions and answer them quickly or appropriately in the forum. You give praise and encouragement whenever they are due. There’s just an air of positivity around you.

Can I use wood chips for hugaculture instead of logs and sticks? There are some tree companies available and wouldn't give me anything like cedar or walnut.

I really learn a lot from your channel. Ive started growing tomatoes in a pot and I’m noticing something called blossom end rot. The flower turns brown. Very disappointing. I hope to harvest some tomatoes despite what I’m seeing. Do you have any suggestions?

First time gardener here 😁 However, my container Squash and zucchini haven't produced and are already turning brown and has "white power" stuff on the leaves. Any ideas of this problem? I have added Organics fertilizer and Organics calcium (because I had one squash with rotten tip). Any ideas to improve?

Chicken wire is a must... my chickens can decimate a rhubarb in a few hours ... sheep breaking into a garden...now that's bad. Within minutes everything is eaten or pulled out and trampled. Heartbreaking.

My favorite thing to grow so far is hot peppers because I’ve always had good success. I have 7 varieties growing now.

Next is sweet basil because of how easy it is to propagate. I harvest heavily on a daily basis.

Not to say that it’ll change because I’m starting to grow more plants.

And following my question about nematodes. Already bought the smsllest package available. Which covers 12 square meters... way too much por my potted straw. Shall I treat all of my garden with them as I dont want grubs spreading too much arounf. Eventhough night hunting seem to cut the population of wine weevils to 2-3 max

I depend on the dehydrator for herbs as well. High humidity (40%-45% indoor and 40%< outdoor) makes airdrying hard. Fortunately, my dehydrator only circulates air without heating it.
