The 4-Max was designed to be a bigger version of the AD- 10, I think that's what Andrew Demko said

Many Cold Steel knives would dwarf the AD10, especially their XL models. All of my 9 Cold Steel folders have 4-6 inch blades, so most of mine would be longer than the AD10.
