I bought my Therm-a-Rest self inflating mattress at REI in 1995. It has been used hundreds of times in a quarter century and never sprung a leak. I still use it! I keep it inflated stored behind a closet door and only roll it up when I go on a camping trip.

I was hoping to see a one-way deflation valve for this type of pad. I can't really imagine wanting to struggle with this thick of a self-inflating pad every morning while out there.

My start to leaking air after 8 months used 10 times top and used strictly in car. Valve is bad I believe, prefer Expeds two valve system.

Just got this pad. It's really thick and comfortable.
Materials feels nice and is not slippery like most other pads.
However, I'm 6"4' and this pad beryl covers my body length.
I can't use a pillow as it will slip off the sides because of the rounded shape... :/

Guys at @therm-a-rest - the how much weight and warmth are we REALLY saving by rounding off the edges like that?

What’s the difference between this and the Prolite Apex other than slightly extra thickness and a softer upper? Is it noticeably more comfortable?

Looks like a nice pad. Maybe lay off the valve marketing bull until you can show us a real life comparison where this pad is infalted 3x faster than a standard pad of equal volume...

Pity that the one I bought for my son got a hole in it first time used.
