LIAN LI - PC-Q08 Mini-ITX Tower Case

I open up LIAN LI's very small PC-Q08 Mini-ITX tower case and give an overview. I also measure the dimensions and try to fit a 12 inch video card inside the tiny case.

wow, completed my build yesterday and i have to say that it look badass. This case is pretty hard to work with but its worth it at the end :) I had issues mounting my bluray drive with the front pannel from the lian li. Because the dvd open switch was no at the same place then the front pannel. So i just decided to remove it... it break the good look but anyway. Would clearly recommend this case to anyone. :D

The optical bay and cover was weird for me too. I eventually got it to work though. And yeah, this case was worth the extra effort.

im currently going to build an htpc for my home theater and my choice was this or the silverstone gd05b ( wont fit full high card with pci-e connector on top... ) Do you think there is enough space between the hard drive cage and the psu to get a modular one?

Setup gonna be somthing like this,

Lian Li pc-q08b
gigabyte ga-h77n-wifi
4gb corsair xms3 ddr3 1600mhz
corsair cx600m psu 80+
evga gtx 650 ti 2 gb superclocked
and a sdd, and some black caviar i have in spare... :D

do you think there is any way to mount the bottom HDD cage just under the 5.25 Bay, without installing the middle cage?

You should have enough room inside for all of that. After I posted the video of the build I added a 1TB Velociraptor so I had to reinstall the middle HDD cage.

I think you could, but it would seriously limit space for the video card.

Okay, no that won't work. They use different screws and stuff to stay in place.

no but i mean, installing the bottom bay( the one that handle 2 drive ) on the top just under the dvd drive bay..

the pc started to do some infinite boot loop because of ram issues... Tbh i didnt check the gigabyte recommandation at all. Anyway, too lazy to RMA ram, im stick with ubuntu which is more then enough for an htpc running xbmc :P
