Speaker: Dr. Ramesh Nadarajah, BHF Clinical Research Fellow
This talk covers Ramesh’s research to develop FIND-AF (Future Innovations in Novel Detection of Atrial Fibrillation). It covers the burden of atrial fibrillation in the health service, the learning that has gone into developing a scalable, implementable and accurate prediction model, and how this LIDA-based research may be able to improve the care of patients in the NHS.
Bio:
Ramesh is a BHF clinical research fellow in LIDA working as part of Professor Chris Gale’s research group. He is a Cardiology Speciality Registrar at Leeds General Infirmary. He is currently completing a PhD investigating the development and of a multivariable prediction model for atrial fibrillation in the general population using routinely collected datasets in primary care.
