Could you imagine a full movie in this style? I think it would be absolutely incredible.

Very nice tool. Easy to use and fun to create scenes. It needs to be improved since it seems not to reference the key all the time, but references each frame to the frame before. This causes more and more artifacts the more you get away from the key. In addition quick or large movements destroy the picture imediatly and you need keys between every movement like that, even if no invisible objects enter the scene. I think it could help if every frame could also do iterations not only with the frame before but also with several frames away and even with the keyframe, maybe adjustable. This will increase rendering time but could reduce artifacts.

This reminds me a lot of how Klaus was made! Specifically how they used keyframes for their shadows and lighting to match up :)

The next 10 years will advance faster than the last 100 years. Mark my words.

that is insane. This opens up so many doors to the people making art. They just have to find out now!

Oh my, wonderful. At 81, I sing daily and I’ve considered recording, if only for a laugh. But I was thrilled to think of how some of the looks in the demos of these amazing video tools would be lusciously appropriate for a video recording of St. Francis's Canticle of the Creatures. A crazy, unrealistic dream? Too big a stretch? Too far beyond my present abilities as a video maker? Possibly so. But a lot can be accomplished by taking one small step at a time. With EbSynth, it seems it wouldn’t be out of the question that I could create an appropriate keyframe from a video still, using Photoshop effects to create the look I want, even though I have no talents as a painter. Thanks for the intro to these astounding new and very welcome tools.

i dig the idea, reminds me my early essays with photoshop. felt bad cause people told me it was tracing and all.

but imagine a whole animation film made with that technique, that would be neat.

it got this weird rotoscoping feel to it... I don't personally like it but this is still amazing.

So you mean to tell me
I can 2d animate a robot
Fill it in with basic colors
Turn one of the frames into a full painting
Place the video along with the painting
And have the whole video come out like that? Thats freakin amazing
