I remember playing these games when I was little and it was never creepy and there was no sign of creepiness

it was confirmed that the face behind their eyes were supposed to represent the player, in other words, the characters are looking at you, so your reflection was showing in their eyes. I know, at first it's creepy to think about a hacker watching you, but no need to worry :)
