Hello my dears!
My name is Sydney and I’m an actress/singer-songwriter who writes music about my experiences being autistic, disabled, gay, and in general, a human. My goal is to fill musical gaps and write about things people often forget to make music about. I’m also a vintage enthusiast and disability advocate (among other things). Hi,
I just want to say that I admire your audacity to speak openly about yourself and experiences of Autism.

I have very fixated interests in:Modern History(WW2&the cold) war, Politics, Geography, Maths, Global warning and Foreign Languages.

I have found Languages particularly interesting to learn too.I'm quite an autodidact and have studied:Greek, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin and French. My French proficiency is better in comparison to the surplus of other Languages I've explored, due to studying it at school.

I went through depression recentely due to issues as my whole life had being confusing and frustrating at times.I've always had issues making and maintaining friendships.I think people get bored with me.I also experienced a lot of bullying when I used to attend High School in the past. It was only in my therapy sessions two counsellors expressed they thought I was probably on the Autistic spectrum and perhaps have some ADHD as well.

I just wanted to ask whether you think a diagnosis is useful for college.I just wondered whether there would be any support available.For example, if I get overwhelmed and suddenly need to leave the room.I've heard that some places do offer help to people on the spectrum in an educational institution.This is only because I struggle coping in really big environments particulary the cafeteria and sometimes classrooms.I was just wondering as I had been home-educated for a while but wanted to attend a college soon but have reservations.

Hi, I wondered if you have any advice on what to do if the people close to you find your special interest gross. I’m not diagnosed, but I am questioning whether I’m autistic. I have a deep interest in mice and rats, and rodents in general. My family, especially my mom, finds them disgusting. I try not to talk about mice and rats around them, but it’s challenging, and it hurts that they don’t want to hear about them. I’m also always nervous about bringing up this interest with friends because I'm scared that they'll find me too weird and won't want to be my friend anymore.

Do you have any information you can share on how to know if you're getting burned out of your special interests?
I published 5 new TTRPG last year during a hyper-focus period that lasted 3 whole weeks but I haven't been able to write anything else ever since. At first, I thought it was either just regular burnout or autistic burnout because I felt EXHAUSTED but it's been 11 months now and I still couldn't get back to writing even though I already have 15 new games in my WIP collection.

At long last, I have found another! :D linguistics has been my foremost SpIn for a few years now, and so far I can speak 3 languages (English, Spanish, and Italian). I am also doing my own research into the history of European language at large. Over the course of it, I will end up learning at least 5 languages in addition to the ones I can already speak. I've never had a better reason to actually learn world history lol

If you don't mind me asking, what languages do you speak?

How do I know if I had a special interest or if I'm just a passionate passionate nerd 🤓 alot of people tell me I have aspurgers but I think I'm just obsessive awkward and really don't like being touched in most situations or loud noise especially rock not thst I hate Rock or anything I respect all music but yknow it's just loud and frightening
