My dad was an accountant, but he loved this kind of music (much to some people’s surprise). When my sister and I were young, he would take us for drives in his 20 year old Porsche 911, with this song playing at the maximum volume. Such great memories. He unexpectedly passed away on June 3rd, 2022 at age 57. We requested this song to be played at his funeral, but my family forgot we requested it! So when it started playing, everyone instantly burst out into happy laughs and smiles from memories of a bygone era. RIP Dad.

I rode across America on a Harley because of this film. No one shot me, and I loved it . Best country ever. Love from UK.

How many folks are bikers because of this film.?? I remember seeing this in about 1969/1970 at the ripe old age of 14. Here I am now aged 62 still riding and listening to steppenwolf. :-)

This film makes me feel that life is short, so we should enjoy it while we can….. ❤😊

My late brother died aged 42 in 1994. Every time I hear this I think of him. What a tune.

This give me chills! I'm a 66 year old woman, but when I used to ride my Sportster back in the day, I would hear this song in my head! Had to get rid of the bike a few years ago, b/c chemotherapy destroyed my sense of balance. Damn. I miss those days...

Get your motor runnin'
Head out on the highway
Lookin' for adventure
And whatever comes our way
Yeah Darlin' go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space
I like smoke and lightning
Heavy metal thunder
Racin' with the wind
And the feelin' that I'm under
Yeah Darlin' go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space
Like a true nature's child
We were born, born to be wild
We can climb so high
I never wanna die
Born to be wild
Born to be wild
Get your motor runnin'
Head out on the highway
Lookin' for adventure
And whatever comes our way
Yeah Darlin' go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space
Like a true nature's child
We were born, born to be wild
We can climb so high
I never wanna die
Born to be wild
Born to be wild

One if not the best bikes films ever produced… it what biker is all about …freedom on 2 wheels… it what got me into bikes back in the middle 70s…the open roads with the wind, sun, rain snow freezing 😂 all doing their best stop you…. The music and meeting other riders all trying to do the same thing….the parties the 🏕️ out under the stars with a few beers in you just watching the world go by and wishing it will never end 😢………then you get old and can’t do even a little bit of that again due to health problems…….but you can still remember these moments of joy, love and peace and happiness and are proud of being a part of the biker community 🎉

Got my father's Harley back from the mechanic yesterday. He passed away 4 years ago and it's been sitting in the barn since. I've always had rockets and never a cruiser. This song was on my mind when I pulled outta the driveway with his Harley. I'll never sell it. Miss you dad so very very much.

One of those songs where you hear it once and it's stuck in your head forever.

Just came back from a local gig here in Mumbai. The band played this song as the opener, everyone went berserk. Still kicks ass in 2024.
