This guy was ahead of his time. I always enjoyed his comics. Love from Pakistan.

I often wondered why the Eternauta, one of the best graphic novel ever, hadn't yet be adapted for the big screen. I hope they do justice to it. It will be difficult..

After seeing Matttt's video about the graphic novel, I now know how important this is

One of the most subliminally brilliant and pivotal pieces of Sci-fi literature in history. So glad it's getting a worthwhile adaptation.

Don't know much about it but the one actor towards the end Ricardo Darin is really great. Has done excellent work in Argentina.

Gosh can’t wait to see this come out on TV. First read the comic book in Italy back in the 70 s, got hooked on it.

As a life long fan, even if this does slightly good it will lead to so many people discovering the life and work of Héctor Germán Oesterheld.

i read the graphic novel when I was growing up in Argentina. The darkness of the story matched the difficult times the country and my family were going through, with several of my relatives being jailed, killed and "disappeared" by the dictatorship.

If you're reading this, don't read the description of the video, it spoils some(maybe a lot) of the fun of the story. (Also, this seems a TV series, not a movie)

The Eternaut it's just an excellent comic/graphic novel and that makes me a little doubtful about an adaptation because it's not an easy task at all. But if they can pull it off, it will be one of the best series from 2025 and yes, in 2025 there will be a lot of peak series.
I also kind of hate the synopsis, cause it gives away... well, you know. I love the audience knowing as much as the main character (nothing at all) and discovering more as time passes.
You can certainly write an interesting synopsis without spoiling anything Dx

I will also copypaste my other response about a (maybe)better, spoiler free synopsis and a little spoiler for the start of the graphic novel:

*A deadly snow kills everyone it touches and Buenos Aires(Actually the world) turn into a wasteland. Juan, his family and some friends survive because they were inside the house. From then on, they have to survive in the state of anarchy Buenos Aires becomes (If covid teached us something, we fight even for toilet paper). But sooner or later they discover that this is not simply "toxic snow" and their enemies are not only the snow or other humans trying to survive.*

I hope the trailer is far more interesting that this First Look because the beginning of the Graphic Novel it's just so interesting (specially for a story written in the late 50's)

So, maybe, maybe not spoilers for the start of the graphic novel

** We are presented to Oesterheld as himself (the author/guionist of the story) when suddenly an unknown man appear out of thin air in front of him. A man with the eyes of someone that has seen it all.
The man present himself as The Eternaut and tries to convince Oesterheld to let him stay in his house to rest for a little bit before continuing his "search". In exchange, The Eternaut will tell him his story. **

This alredy set the tone of the sci-fi and is far more interesting than just a survival story.

PD: I kind of hate they didn't add a simple "maybe" about the speculation of the magnetic poles explanation. Again, Juan's friend is the classic science guy, so he speculates this is because the magnetic poles. He is of course wrong with his speculation as seen in the end of the video. "The poles caused this too?" is just a sarcastic remark from Juan to his friend.
