Tictactoe is so funny to talk about.

His opening was the less known corner variation with C3, and this starts a line on both the A1/C3 diagonal, the C file and the 3-Row. The only move that won't lead to a double-lined trap is B2, as after any other move would lead to X winning.
(Here are all the non-B2 lines)
1. C3 B3 C1 C2 A1 double-lined
2. C3 A3 C1 C2 A1 double-lined
3. C3 A2 A3 B3 C1 double-lined
4. C3 A1 C1 C2 A3 double-lined
(And all the flipped versions.)
So after B2, the main line is A1, as it leads to 2 of the 6 squares leading to double-line:
1. C3 B2 A1 A3 C1 double-lined
And the flipped version.
So you can play either A2, B1, B3 or C2. And then it's a forced draw via forced moves.
There is another variation after B2, being A2 or B1. This is also a 2/6 winning situation, but much less intuitive.

So funny to play around with TTT terms. All made up.
