US employment changes attitude towards work

Markets are closely watching the January jobless report but it's just a rough snapshot of America's working economy. The long- term trend shows a steadily larger share of the working-age population is neither employed nor seeking to be hired. It may signal a fundamental shift in popular attitudes toward work.
