My name is Bre. I took two years of small engine repair at the local college. When I left school, I fell into a wonderful job at a local small engine shop where I worked the counter for a couple years. In 2010 my husband and I opened up our own small engine shop in central Arkansas where I am able to work alongside my family and best friends. We saw over 2,000 pieces of small engine equipment every year, and answer 1,000's of small engine questions. We specialize in brands such as Briggs and Stratton, Kohler, Echo and Shindaiwa, but work everyday on MANY other brands like Stihl, Husqvarna, Honda, Craftsman, Remington, Red Max, Troy Bilt, Scag, Bad Boy, Hustler, World Lawn, Poulan, Mantis, Etc.. Hopefully, my experience I share, will save you Time, Money and Frustration in the future!

Do you know why chicken coops have two doors? If they had four doors it would be a chicken sedan. 👏hope this brings a smile to everyone. 🙏

I’m so pathetic, I spent 8 years as a plant fitter, but your knowledge is so far better than mine, I’m beginning to think my life has become insignificant. Thank you for your videos, I’m retired now, but your videos are so entertaining, I do tend to watch them, I learn more every time.

Over 60 years ago my dad built an outdoor chicken run for my grandmother's chickens. He screened over the top to stop raccoons and chicken hawks. It worked very well. No more chicken thieves!

Insulation in your chicken coop ceiling would be great that metal roof it's like a sauna in there

I love your chickens my neighbor across the street from me recently got some chickens and a rooster and I love sitting on my front porch and listening to them. Brings back memories of my grandparents farm.

I was in a Biltema store in Steinkjer, Norway and I walked past a walk behind mower and noticed that the gas cap was missing, apparently dishonesty is a universal human trait. Naturally I thought about this video..

Biltema is a Swedish chain of stores, they have stores in Sweden, Norway and Finland.. Not sure what would be a US equivalent, but the sell products in the car, mc, boat, care care products, home & leisure, Tools/power tools and building/construction supplies.. all of their products are in the private label category.

ive never noticed if the air covers are missing. something to look 4.

It almost seems like the brackets for some of those air covers are designed to fall off and force us to buy an new cover/filter (which, of course, the manufacturer sells). I started putting a tiny screw through my air filter covers in order to keep them in place.

I worked in retail grocery 20 years ago. It's amazing what people would steal. And that was in a small town.

A while ago I asked a guy working in the mower section about the missing covers and he told me they leave them off the display models and keep them in the back, along with some other easily removable parts, depending on the model or equipment. So they might not have always been stolen.

For the cover with no tank vent you can carefully dremel/grin the notch out.

I have went through 3 Briggs/Murray Push Mowers in 3 years-all bought from Walmart, I change Oil Often and keep them clean and out of weather, all of them start Knocking and may Lock up before one year is on them. A Lawn Mower Mechanic said just throw them away. It is sad, I have a Lawn Mower that is maybe 35 years old that I paid $39 at a Gibson store years ago that will still run and cut grass, yes it has had several Carb. Kits installed and has Sheared several Crank Pins but it will still run and cut grass and does not smoke or burn oil...

It's possible Lowe's takes them off to stop theft, the Australian equivalent takes the fuel caps off for the same reason

Hey there Chicky, your place is looking sweet! I must say, it's kind of ironic you put this video out today. Over the Memorial weekend here in NorCal, I got a smokin' deal from Lowe's on one of those red Craftsman mowers like you had in the video...originally $399 for only $99...just because it was missing the air filter, cover & gas cap. When I got home I 'Amazoned' all 3 parts for just under $20 & they were on my front porch late this afternoon.
Good job making the quality vids...keep it up!

We have had chickens for 9-10 years, and no other animal has gotten into the coop other than mice. But we have hawks and eagles that do fly overs all the time. We have other people in the area that lose chickens all the time, but they didn't seem to put a lot of thought into making their coops predator proof. The hardware cloth is the way to go, but get a roof on that before a hungry bird drips in.

A weasel will have no problem invading...will burrow and eat through about anything to get to food. Have to basically bury steel plate deep around perimeter. Elevate coop floor at least a foot off the ground. It needs to be steel and welded or very tightly fastened to the upper structure.

My Ryobi power washer (Subaru engined) needed a new air filter, the old was disintegrating. I ordered a Stens brand from A and was pleasantly surprised that inside the Stens marked bag was another bag with the filter and that was marked as genuine Subaru part.

Only recently came across your videos when laid up for a week with a minor health matter. Have since been able to get a 25 years old Honda line trimmer, a Ryobi Brush cutter and a chainsaw going and almost fixed a 25 years old ride on that had fuel gushing through the muffler. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, experience and tips. Re: chickens. Unlikely you will need to separate a rooster from the girls. You don't need a rooster for the hens to lay but I have always felt the chickens lay a little better with one. Also, if a fox does attack the hens the rooster will defend them but usually at the cost of his life. Hens use a lot of energy to produce eggs and should start laying at about 23 or 24 weeks so a good 17.5% protein feed is a good minimum guideline. The extra run extension might be useful to have some green feed sown for the birds to scratch although they will decimate it fairly quickly. They only need about 2 or 3 hours a day scratching around although my birds are free range from around 8.00 to 5.00 pm in summer and a little less in winter. Best wishes for the chooks. Just another thought about poultry, 3 or 4 ducks will provide more eggs than chickens and with your vegie garden, the ducks will rarely damage plants but are great for pest control. An old timer reckoned that you don't have a snail problem you have an under supply of ducks. Enjoy your gardens and poultry & thanks again for the small motors education.

Thanks for sharing.
Chicken feed tip. Get a feeder with a treadle step that allows the hens to gain access to the feed and closes when they step off the treadle. Split feed attracts mice, mice attract rat snakes and the snakes also eat eggs.
