Amazing how much sophistication and nuance goes into a sequence like this. Thanks!

I love your videos. Always thought-provoking and applicable. One request I have is to do some videos where story is more focused on (how the story motivates the lighting specifically and how to achieve specific feelings and evoke emotion with differing setups.) I love how you did that a bit more in this video. Keep up the great work!

Can you make a breakdown about some scenes in the Hulu TV series The Bear? Particularly Season 3 Episode 7 timestamp 21:40. It seemed to be an outdoor sunny shot lit by the sun, but I never understood how they got the other side of the shot to be so dark! Also the scene where Tina and Mikey are having a conversation in the back area of the restaurant; not sure what episode that was in. Thank you!

I feel sorry for people that don't know about this channel. The amount wisdom and techniques you outline in these breakdowns are literal CHEATCODES!

That clip crosses the line like crazy but it's the cheating of positions that throws me a little. There's some massive cheating of positions between what's established in the wide and the deep 2-s over Benedict's shoulder. It's bold that his final look up at the end is across the line - seems a little unnecessary. Thanks, the lighting break-down is interesting.

What software do you use to draw on the screen?

Side note: that's none of my business, but do you have some lighting for the filming of you. It's so dark, it's hard to see you.
