7:43 It wasn't broken, the <super+/> menu just doesn't react to mouseclicks; it's meant to be used by the keyboard!

I installed POPOS onto my laptop about April 3, 2020. I liked it enough to make it my default OS for the laptop. I will not be changing unless something better comes along.,

I do programming, blogging, emailing, youtube viewing with the laptop.

I did try to install it onto my Desktop (2700x) system, but the installation program failed before I could do the first stop of the installation. I tried it with both Intel and nvidia options and neither would install. Today, there was a large quantity of updates for POP OS. I will review the download ISO to see if it too has been updated. I will replace vanilla Gnome with PopOS

Pop Shell is great for people who want a extended gnome.

Awesome video! I think the tiling feature is really cool and just needs a little touching up:)

Makes sense that Pop OS works well on laptops because it is developed by System76, a company that makes and sells laptops (and other computers).

Rock on, I appreciate your opinion on the various OS's. I don't have the time or desire to find a new one. PopOS, Elementary and of course Ubuntu 20.04 will be running soon are the house here!

Thinking about leaving W10 behind and migrate to pop_os for good. But I use OneDrive a lot, haven't found a seamless integration (cannot get use to rclone and office workflow). Can you recomend some software to use OD in a similar way as it works in W10?

Pop Os 20.04 has been stable for me since the last couple of days due to the updates. Earlier it had occasional black screen and freezes.

Thought i would let people know, Pop os 20.04 Running perfectly on a Lenovo P1 Gen 2 I7 no issues at all everything works. AND best of all, the thunderbolt new dock works perfectly also with docking and un-docking laptop.

I just wish Pop! OS offered other desktops as options. Cinnamon, Mate, XFCE would be great additions.

As of today, Pop Shell supports stacking tiles with Super + S, and either using the keyboard to move the window, or dragging a window into the stack.

It's not broken at 7:45...simply app launcher works only with keyboard because the main goal of Pop shell is to avoid mouse usage.

Don, by the way, that wasn't a crash. The launcher does not close when you click outside of it. But since you expected it to, this has been logged as a bug. To restart Gnome just use Alt+F2 r.

Something I didn't even know I wanted! Great intro to almost properly tiling windows.
Now if there was only a new assist for the aged! I want to slow things down a bit for my fumble fingers. I end up getting mad because "I didn't mean to do that! Stop it machine!" This is true for both my laptop, (desktop is going to reappear soon) and my cell phone. N.B. my Phone is my land line and DSL. That and there should be programmable "dead zones" on touch screens and trackpads. I almost forgot my chief annoyance. The GUI should have a completely stable consistent interface as a default. Graphical objects that 'DO THINGS" when tapped, double tapped, alt tapped etc. should have a consistent way of indicating that they are more than wallpaper, a flashing pixel or something. I don't mind GUI changes so long as they can be used on every app and are documented well, so I can learn them. /rant off

The tiling feature was the only reason I installed pop os instead of waiting on Mint Cinnamon 20. Sometimes the tiling feature breaks and I have to restart the shell, super+G is gimmicky.

Adding more confusion to it are the shortcuts, especially super+t to open the terminal, or the super+f to open the file manager, I know that that can be swapped but those are really weird shortcuts and hamper your muscle memory if you switch between operating systems a lot.

Furthermore, there is no option to change the download sources/mirrors. By default it starts downloading from the US mirrors when I'm two oceans away, thus resulting in speeds no more than 400KBps.

Great video. Is there any way to get the fan drivers (to manually speed up the fans during game play) for the Lenovo Legeon laptops? Or any other brand for that matter. I have a Legeon Y720 running Kubuntu Plasma 20.04 BTW, thanks.

Don't think it actually froze, think the focus was on the text entry box and at that time the mouse doesn't work, or does it? If you type something like term, you have to use the arrow keys and select what you want to start en press enter.

I have been trying out Pop! OS on and off on my systems quite a bit. I quite like the look and feel of it. But I moved back to Ubuntu Studio 20.04 which is just a tad more easy to use for me. I felt hindered and cramped on Pop! OS despite the eye candy and apparent simplicity. Thanks for sharing.
