In this video, I explain why sulfur is the most important element you need to effectively detoxify your body.

In your liver, there are various enzymes that turn poisons and toxins into harmless particles. Many of these enzymes are sulfur-based. In phase one, you go from a fat-soluble chemical or poison to a water-soluble chemical. Phase two takes that water-soluble compound and makes it even less poisonous. In phase three, it exits the cell and leaves your body.

Sulfur is also important for three amino acids that are co-factors in making glutathione, one of the most important antioxidants in your body. It’s also involved with two different vitamins, biotin and thiamine (vitamin B1). There are many other vitamins that are also involved: vitamins A, B2, B3, B9 (folate), C, and E. But sulfur is the most important nutrient.

Good sources of sulfur include:

● Cruciferous foods such as radishes, kale, and Brussel sprouts
● Asparagus
● Onions
● Garlic
● Eggs
● Fish
● Cheese
Which one do you like the most as a source of sulfur?

These foods are the mainstays of our diet. I’m blessed to be in the West of Ireland on a farm with access to local grass fed beef, lamb and a regular supply of wild trout and salmon (my sons fish). Our cheese and butter are artisan and locally sourced. Our garden and free range hens provide the rest. I’m able to harvest our own apples, blackberries, haws, damsons, elderberries, and rose hips from our hedgerows. We love your program and have learned so much. Food can heal.

Great video! Stage 4 cancer survivor here... I focus heavily on sulforaphane and other polyphenols. Sprouted broccoli seeds and Budwig Flax oil/cottage cheese mix are my daily routine favorites!

I've got a lot of food sensitivities and I've always sworn by asparagus and salmon. They are like miracle foods for my body. It's amazing. I wonder if it has to do w sulfur. Interesting video.

My body responds possitively to all the foods on the list you have presented.
But I would have to say garlic is the most effective.

Another potential video idea would be to discuss beans and the benefits/drawbacks of them.

I feel like beans, as a carbohydrate are again regarded in a bad light, mostly from how they contain lectins, antinutrients, cause bloating/gas etc.

But it would be nice to see an informative video discussing them in detail, alongside maybe other legumes such as chickpeas/peas and even lentils.

Just an idea, thank you for your free wisdom Dr Berg. We need more doctors who are emphatic about the food/diet inside of drugs/medicine.

Garlic (cut small or mashed), plain yogurt, olive oil. Makes a good sauce for chicken.

I eat them ALL quite regularly, with the exception of RAW kale. I do use DEHYDRATED kale much like parsley in my cooking though. It makes the yummiest, sweetest flavor when sprinkled on Salmon. Chicken & Pork in oven and stove-top stewed dishes. *** Thankfully, I like these foods. I've lost -99 lbs as of today. 10 months of strict KWOE with IF has really paid off. I'm committed for life now!! Maintenance will not be too different. Thx Dr. Berg for all your useful, truthful information. God bless you Sir.
