RecurDyn V8R5 What's New - Relation Map

Many new features have been added to the Relation Map.
- Keyboard Shortcut: The Relation Map can now be displayed by pressing the ‘Q’ key on the keyboard.
- Back / Forward : ‘Back’ and ‘Forward’ buttons have been added to the Relation Map to allow faster navigation between recently-viewed entities. These function similarly to the ‘Back’ and ‘Forward’ buttons in a web browser to display previously viewed entities. There is also a dropdown list of the recently viewed items to allow the view to be quickly returned to any previously viewed item.
- Show Properties Page: The Properties dialog box for the currently-selected entity will open.
- Filter: The Relation Map now has a filter that will allows the user to identify the kinds of RecurDyn entities to display. If the filter is active, only the selected entity types are displayed.
- Refresh: There is now a Refresh button that will synchronize the Relation Map to the RecurDyn model data. This is used after the user modifies the model when the Relation Map was open during the modification to update the Relation Map.

The improvements to the Relation Map allow it to be navigated more efficiently and allow specific Entities to be found more easily.
