A gold plated bronze wall clock was crafted in France about 1900, signed "Japy Freres & Co." of Paris. Classical motifs of a ram's head, laurel wreath, pineapple and torches are sculpted into the case of this antique clock.

The brass movement has been professionally oiled and adjusted, and keeps accurate time for a week on a winding. A silvery bell counts the hour and rings the half hour. The porcelain dial has hand painted blue Roman numerals.
