I'm a 66 year old man, my parents were older having me, my mother was born in 1916 and my father was born in 1912 ( the same year the " Titanic . " sank ! ) this type of music was woven into the fabric of my life from childhood into adulthood ! I collected " 78s " ( remember those ? lol ! ) still have quite a few ! Thank you for posting this ! And, by the way, I have a " Double Boiler " just like the one in that ad ! lol ! That's why there is a bulge at the top, so it could be slipped into a larger pan holding boiling water ! Yes I am a cook and house cleaner and proud of it !!

Every room in my house is decorated as a different decade in the 1900's, and my kitchen is the 1960's.

I'm not a housewife but I still like this music. I long for the days when you could simply turn on your radio and hear this. Also, a few decades ago radio and tv broadcasters used to have a code of ethics limiting ad time 6 minutes per hour. Wow! We have made a heck of lot of progress especially when you consider the cussing and indiscretions they get away with now.

I remember my Grandma who was born in 1919 listening to this style of music, particularly Lawrence Welk, on her little analog radio while she got ready in the am…toilet paper around her weekly curls and all! Nostalgia!
