Yo CGB, don't be afraid to give us a sequel to some of these sweet decks. I'd love to see a second video on this.

Haywire mite works pretty well in here since it’s a permanent, a turn 1 blocker that sacrifices itself, and it can get rid of leylines on turn 2 if you don’t die by then

I beat the whole mono red meta by just not playing standard.

You know it is always going to be a good time when CGB plays some Sultai!

cgb is never again allowed to complain about bad draws after ripping that terror tide

This is fine, 12 slots taking up space to combat monored. This is perfectly fine. The meta is fine.

Me: "This deck looks fun... let's see about importing it into Arena"

Arena: "You are short 2 common wildcards, 9 uncommon wildcards, 24 rare wildcards, and 7 mythic wildcards"

The woes of being a new player xD

CGB loves maindecking Leyline of the Void so much that he makes graveyard decks running it so that its an even better meta call when he faces his own decks.

I started playing MTGA this expansion, I love golgari and found that it is very fun with valgavoth, say it's name and the interaction between valgavoths acolyte and the black impending overlord guy, and also running 12 cheap removal spells to deal with the awful red decks

I also found I could craft a fully powered deck with a little playing and now I'm just saving up, as a new player it doesn't feel too bad, considering I got a cool deck to climb up the ladder with already

This whole deck is my favorite stuff. I’m a just a fan of huge yards in general, and I get to steal the opponents deck too! It’s a win win.

I've been running a similar concept around Invasion of Amonkhet, Bringer of the Last Gift, and The Tale of Tamiyo/Render Inert. Mill cards until you get your win cons in graveyard (Bringer of Last Gift, Valgavoth, etc), Render Inert to proc Invasion of Amonkhet to copy Bringer of the Last Gift from your graveyard, wipes the board and revives all creatures from all graveyards not wiped this way. Definitely punishable outside of Bo1 but fun nonetheless.

I've been running a version of this deck for a few weeks now, it was the first deck I crafted in after Duskmourn came out. It has some vulnerabilities, it can be a bit slow sometimes, but when you manage to do your thing, it's so much fun.

this gives me some real 2010s energy. i played a grixis control deck based on milling yourself and snap caster mage to get the answers you need, and the old tasigur sultai decks of standard and even delve creeping into modern for a second.

17:15 I believe it should not have necessarily exiled with Leyline, however, because it is a replacement effect that takes action on opponents library, the opponent chooses which replacement comes first, being most likely the outcome we saw. But funny rules interaction that is not contemplated in arena (unless you enable it).

Nice to see you having fun in Standard. I've been off it since a week or two after Bloomburrow came out, unfortunately. I'll live the game vicariously through your channel in the meantime, but I just can't atm.
