It's not a reverse threaded nut, it's just unscrewing away from you. If you were standing the other side of the cistern it would unscrew just like any other nut.

great, but what if you do all that and it still doesn't flush properly...how should you adjust the c-link or lever?

Notice that it's all men banging on about its not a reverse nut.Point being she is showing very clearly how to change the handle without hearing a word of dialogue!
I'm deaf and understood exactly how to do it with the very clear visual instructions this lady provided.Lower that testosterone boys. 😁

Very informative but it's a regular clockwise nut. She repeats the mistake twice which makes it even worse.

Hang on a minute, you cheated. Initially you put the curved ring bit through the third hole, when you completed the job it was on the 4th.
