Alright, let's dive into what we know about the upcoming live-action movie "Mufasa: The Lion King"! The trailer gives us a glimpse into the close relationship between Mufasa and Scar when they were cubs and teases their backstory, including what led Scar down a dark path to betray his brother. The movie confirms that Mufasa doesn't have royal blood since his parents weren't kings in this version. He becomes an orphan after losing his parents, wandering alone in the African Savannah until he befriends another lion cub named Taka, who is Scar. Taka's parents, the king and queen of the Kingdom lands, adopt Mufasa, making them brothers in all but. As they grow up together, a tragic event unfolds when their parents are by a group of lions. King Ahadi likely chooses Mufasa to succeed him, sparking jealousy and rivalry in Scar, who believes it's his birthright to rule. These feelings escalate into envy and eventually lead Scar to plot against Mufasa, setting the stage for the events of the original movie.

It would actually make more sense for Scar to be the outsider who joins the Royal Family since he and Mufasa look different in both iterations of the story.
It would also give insight into Scar’s perspective as being adopted and raised by Royal parents would make him feel privileged and deserving of the throne only for it to go to Mufasa for birthright
Would make his motivations make more sense

Mufasa really became the favourite child

This kinda means Mufasa is the bad guy because being king was not his birthright it was Scar's birthright

Really trying to make us sympathetic for the villain again it seems. Tho this does make Lion King 2 outcasts make more sense. Would prefer it 2D animated.

The scar edits about how he was misunderstood will be crazy

Personally I think it would have made more sense for scar to be the adopted brother but at the same time is makes sense this way as well, since yes, it was scars birthright to be the next king and if he was the adopted one it wouldn’t really make sense for him to be jealous and envious if it was never his right to begin with.

They made that Scar was not Kovu's father, so he and Kiara can't be related, but if Mufasa and Scar are not brothers by blood, that would not matter enymore.

Here is my plot
Mufasa and taka are biologically brothers, ahadi and uru are king and queen of the pride lands, taka and sarabi become friends until mufasa and taka were playing and mufasa accidentally gave taka his scar, taka took this personally and tried to hurt mufasa back until ahadi stopped him, when they were in their adolescent years mufasa was chosen as king, this drove taka mad and later hyenas tried to attack the pride lands but were stopped, later taka run to the outlands bc uru and ahadi were arguing, taka went to the hyenas who later named him scar, this was now the birth of scar, after awhile, scar came back and later found uru looking sad and said to taka that they should go talk, scar corrected uru saying she should call him scar now, they went to the watering hole where uru passed out, scar felt responsible for it then running home.Ahadi then roared asking where uru was.Scar told ahadi that uru died…ahadi was furious and banished taka from the pride lands a few years later ahadi died and mufasa became king alongside sarabi as his queen, mufasa let scar back in the pride lands saying “welcome home taka-“ until scar corrected him saying that he was scar….a month goes by and this leads to the events of the lion king

The only way to know for sure is if Scar can pick up the hammer. 😂

I feel like people are judging this film too harshly solely because they don’t like the fact that Mufasa is adopted here. Like. It isn’t even out yet, can we stop assuming it’s bad before it’s even out?

I think they should just use the story from lion guard of how scar turned evil

And if he has the scar before he met mufasa that takes away when in the real film remake mufasa references the scar and it would insinuate that mufasa gave him that scar when he challenged mufasa

I prefer the Lion guard Answer
it makes more sense then that ever will an ever changing backstory isn't something we want or need.

The special effects in this definitely look better better than the last one, but definitely not planet of the apes quality

I don’t think straight away after their parents die his father are Hardy tells me fussy. He’s the chosen one. I think it is when he meets his father in the sky like Simba did with his dad or before he becomes king nearly ending that’s when he shows up and tells him that in front of scar and then sent to heaven and then move faster climbs the rock to become king.

The Lion King’s timeline is even more confusing than the Zelda timeline. I guess it’s sort of like how Nuka was Scar’s oldest son, but Scar still chose Kovu despite the fact that he was his adoptive son. Ahadi saw Mufasa as a better fit, and due to that, pushed Scar to the side.
