I feel like Tengen’s musical score is so underrated and because of that it should be the best. The score allowed tengen to fight evenly with the upper 6, that’s good on it’s own but then you remember he was doing that with one arm, heavily poisoned, fatigued and literally just stopped his heart. With all of those setbacks his musical score still made him strong enough to go toe to toe with an upper moon. And then the ability itself is cool, you turn attacks into beats so you can essentially dodge or counter any attack thrown at you, demon slayer ultra instinct? Come on now, and the when it comes to the actual forms you use explosives and have to have good hearing, easily the best and my favorite.

Fun fact also...rengoku hasn't perfected flame breathing like his father...during his dad's era, his father was considered the strongest hashira since the sengoku era...but as we all saw, even with the incomplete version of flame breathing we saw how strong rengoku was....if he perfected flame breathing like his dad he probably would've been top three stronfest hashiras or maybe even the strongest...and with the mark he would even more ridiculous

Actually Shinobu would probably stand in top 5 for breathing stile since she is the best in mastering her breathing stile among the hashiras but since some other hashiras unlocked there mark she is in top 7 because even if Tengen and kiojuro unlocked there marks she would have still be stronger in breathing then them

If we want to assume for Rengoku we should assume for Muichiro too, he would be ranked higher as he gets older and gain more expeirnce

I think this is really accurate because if Tengen awakened it his breathing style would still be similar and Muichiro’s style got decently higher because he won because of his mark but we have to consider the fact he basically won because he’s the descendant of Michikatsu

It is not like they are not able to summon the mark, the mark appears only if the conditions are met and the sun breathing user of that era summons it first. here in this case tanjiro is the sun breathing user. who summoned his mark way later after rengoku's death and tengen didn't have much time to get under the influence of the mark because gyutaro was defeated just seconds later. Mitsuri was way weaker than rengoku still she was able to summon the mark because of the influence of the mark tanjiro had.

Finally a fair ranking, man rengoku is really strong and as mentioned If he unlocked his mark he wouldve defeated akaza, even akaza himself acknowledged his strength and told him to become a demon
