Yo love all these vids Chico! I feel your story bro with your knee and coming back it really resonated with me. I rode the sees of NYC back in the late 80, $ through the 90, into 2000 . I and it did a lot of damage so I had major knee surgery 2 x and I thought it was over.. got a career fixing airplanes did a 180 on life bro, 😂 tried not to think about skating . Yo one day I found an old Zoo York board in our Hanger, old dusty, beat up . Had Spit classics on some GRINDKING trucks . The dope ones not the first run or second but the nice ones. What’s he chances I’m living working in an airplane hanger in Atlanta an I find a ZOO set up ! 😂
Yo long story long that was COVID I sat on that for a year but it planted a seed in my head .i started watching videos (like this )love letters and every and any video I could find I watched .The fuse was re lit !
I bought a deck last year been working on my knee hard trying to build muscle and it hurt at first I didn’t think I could make it through I won’t lie my skating in my head to what it used to be ….. 2 different things 😂😂 I had to re learn how to skate ! That’s a Crazy one bro ! Unbelievable… I’m still working on it and it still hurts but I can feel it going away slowly .. the pain is lessening and my leg is getting stronger, I’m doing it for pure pleasure like back in the day . So when I saw your 9 interview man I listened to the whole thing and you spoke on your deal with your knee and types of boards and your REBOUND I was like yo ! That’s me ! 😂 it just got me more amped to skate. Thanks my man. Chico.
