Inside Thailand’s Sanctuary of Truth

Thailand’s Sanctuary of Truth is a modern day marvel, made entirely of wood without the use of a single nail. Built using ancient carving techniques, the religious shrine has been under construction since 1981, with teams of dedicated architects continually working to finish out the plans of its creator. Originally commissioned by a Thai millionaire intent on keeping traditional craftsmanship alive, the structure is now considered to be a religious shrine, a cultural monument and a work of art, all in one. Welcome to the Sanctuary of Truth, a divine masterpiece in the making.

This is a masterpiece that will NEVER be finished because it is open to the the earths elements and the wood will always need refinishing and rebuilding

I had a field trip and I went here today it’s cool! Fun fact this place is a really sweet place that helps send you the message to come here and learn more one of the things the lovely lady told me is that one of the angels had took out her eyeballs the make medicine for her dad sadly he didn’t survive but she has happy she did it how sweet this place is

I've seen this first hand and can tell you that pictures and video don't do it justice. Every square inch is a work of art. The guided tour explains what each carving represents. It's definitely a must if your travels bring you to Bangkok. It's only an hour and 45 minutes to the south in Pattaya.

Was just there yesterday! I will be back soon and in the future, it is amazing. It truly is a living monument. The backdrop is a beautiful beach. Cant miss if you are in Thailand (location is Pattaya, less than 1.5hrs from Bangkok International airport).
