No one trusts F2, it's time to boycott that because drivers are forced to sell their houses and only for their life be ruined by the engine supplier. The same setup in Monza and one team's cars were 13kph faster

The Mecachrome engines are a joke. If it's a spec series they have to make sure everybody has equal engine power. I'm glad that F1 teams are beginning to ignore F2 standings. I just wish The Race finally had an honest discussion about F2 and how bad things are

If you actually watch f2 on the regular you can always tell the good drivers from the okay one the championship position has never mattered in f2

F2 is not reliable, like the Mecachrome engines. Just look at Ritomo Miyata. Last year he won both the Super Formula (beating Liam Lawson) and the Super GT without really having the best car (at least in Super Formula) but this year in F2 he is 19th in the standings. Granted that it is his first year racing outside of Japan, but you can't tell me that he is less talented than Cordeel. By the way, Miyata complained about the Mecachrome engine already in pre-season and he has been unlucky with them since then for some reason.

Why don’t they just do the indycar thing in f2 and make the cars equal. It’s a developmental/scouting series for f1 so they are focused on the drivers, not the cars.

Why doesn’t the FIA just allow more young driver testing at the end of some race weekends? Each team gets time like FP1 and the teams are monitored so teams can’t just use those sessions for development and its sole purpose is for the drivers to get seat time. Also broadcast it so these young guys can get bigger followings

The engine imbalance is actually so shit, best example being Illot losing to Schumi in 2020 and the Invicta pair of Maino and Borteleto losing out on crucial races, especially Maini

Well the FIA have cancelled the Rookie Sprint for this year (fair enough, it would require the teams to stay on past the last race after this hell of a long season to do the rookie sprint), but there has got to be more effort put into letting the Rookies have more time in these cars. I think it also helps to put some healthy pressure on current drivers who think they can slack off or just coast to know right there, you can see them, testing and getting in front of their bosses.
