To Catch A Predator: A Nashville Quandary

It feels like yesterday when we all thought the Nashville Predators were Stanley Cup contenders. It also feels like they became an afterthought in that conversation just as fast. Despite their past sheen, the Predators have a combination of long-time issues that have been unsolved and new dilemmas that have emerged.

Nashville is in a very tough spot: They still don't want to lose the hope of being playoff contenders, but reality is coldly reminding them that the way their roster is constructed isn't going to do it. In this video, the quandary of the Predators will hopefully be explained in a way that will make sense to those that are new to the situation.

Losing to the Red Wings was the last straw for a video lmao. As a Red Wings fan, I agree with this sentiment.

As a Sharks fan, I feel the pain of Nashville fans. We had our chance vs the pens, we blew it and now we are mediocre and have terrible contracts. I hope things will improve for both of us

Today’s been a rough day, so to see Utree post helped make the end of this day better. Thank you Tree.

A surprise... A welcome one at that, but a surprise nonetheless.

Thank you. This was needed. Everything you said here spoke truth. This team is quite literally slamming into a brick wall full force and its extremely painful to watch as a fan. The incompetence of Poile and Hynes combined is too much for the team. We NEED to fire them asap and see what happens before trade deadline...if nothing happens...blow it the fuck up...just please keep forsberg, he is the only saving grace of this team, maybe will help with veteran leadership in the rebuild

I completely missed this episode when it came out, but damn it hits the mark, which is so weird because the Preds are now on a 5 game win streak and everyone is picking up.

As a Nashville sports fan, I knew that one of our teams would get their own video.

Conglaturation, Predators!

its honestly so sad seeing a team that brought all of nashville such thrills and joy fall off completely. watching them tear through the playoffs was so cathartic, even if they didn’t win the cup.

Thank you for these hard truths, Tree. As a die-hard Preds fan, I too saw the Cup window collapse from a mile away last year. It's definitely time to blow it up and start from scratch again

Arvidsson was on a 50 goal pace two years ago. Nashville has some great players in their core in Arvidsson, Forsberg, Ellis, Ekholm, and Josi. Trading them would not only give them a king's ransom, but would also put them on winning teams instead of letting their careers rot away there.
