Hi! Thank you for the review!
So prior to putting my dogs on this food, I first had them on Blue Buffalo, then Hills, then Purina pro plan sensitive stomach. For each of those foods, recommend by my vet, my pups had horrible stool. I’m talking constant mushiness and when semi-firm, it had yellow and Orange mucous in the stool.

I started looking into raw, freeze dried and came across this food. Then voila, now their stool is firm, not dry, but a really good stool, no mucous. Their skin is also much better. I get what you’re saying, but my dogs are so much better on this food.

Thank you for your videos. I’m sad to say I was one of these people that fed high protein, phosphorous and calcium and no grain food to my dog, most of her life, thinking I was doing a good thing. It makes me sad now since my dog developed kidney disease and died of kidney failure. It might have been a coincidence but also could have been exacerbated by my lack of knowledge.

With my new dog, I’m trying to do better.

Ok, I keep saying this is your best video, but this might be your best video! George commented on my channel that if people focused on nutrients instead of ingredients, most food companies would go bankrupt! And they should! You’re the younger female version of me! Lol! Just imagine a dog with undiagnosed renal insufficiency on this diet! Keep up the great work! I know you’re helping animals by educating their owners!

Love these videos! If you still do them, I'd love to see Nutrience reviewed. It's a brand we see a lot in Canada, yet it's difficult to find any review for it. I've had my dog on a few different foods and this one turned her into a pooping machine, lol.

Ended up switching her to Hills Science Diet Oral Care.

I have four full-blooded German shepherd dogs. I am looking for the best dog food quality there is out there to feed them. I just don’t understand how is dog food with grain and rice. Good for them if they would not eat that in the wild, I understand they are domesticated dogs but there’s no way they would be eating rice or grain in their natural diet.? Please educate me

I applaud you. That's some marketing, expert manipulation. Bravo

A few points I feel need to be addressed... First of all, "biologically appropriate" is not a marketing tactic specific to dog foods; it's a phrase commonly used especially in wildlife cases to define what foods are most appropriate and beneficial to a species. Dr. Karen Becker used a perfect example in an interview: a worm's biologically appropriate food is dirt and a hummingbird's is nectar. But you would never feed a worm nectar or a hummingbird dirt. Another phrase I believe you misinterpreted is "whole prey diet", as this is NOT the same as by-product. By-product is defined as "the leftovers of an animal after its been slaughtered and all desired edible parts have been removed". So, yes this can mean organ content as well, but the big difference here is the quality. Whole prey implies all edible parts of the animal, including the desired parts that are removed from by-products. Also, AAFCO is a non-governmental organization with zero regulatory authority. They basically just help enforce what pet food companies can say on their packaging and provide minimum nutritional requirements, although these requirements do not specify where the nutrients have to come from. I'm not saying AAFCO is bad, I'm simply stating they're not a true regulatory authority like the FDA is.
Lastly I would like to say, I acknowledge your education and practice, but unfortunately I believe traditional veterinarians simply are not given the proper training and guidance when it comes to pet nutrition -- from a wildlife biologist

Weren't Orijen dog treats recalled due to tranquilizer contamination? (My thought was due to euthanized feed stock) this was post Canada production, used to be my favorite till they moved production to Kentucky.

Thank you for awesome channel! My dog nutritionist has same position as you on those things like pet food marketing/no grain/wolf diet manipulation, and she was surprised I learned so much about dog food too, I told her it is thanks to doctor Rea on youtube!

So many people think if the pet food is expensive it is better. A lot of people also think Purina and Hills are horrible big corporations and little petite brands are better.

What I'm concernes about is vets not acknowledging the benefits of a raw diet because they want to benefit from veterinary foods. Classic outdated vet "advice"
