10AM Tropical Weather Update: Development in Caribbean?

Показать описание
The only area to watch this week is the middle of the Caribbean Sea where a spot of low pressure may start to develop midweek. This low-pressure area will drift northwest toward Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula by next weekend.

Right now long-range global models show it getting stuck in the Bay of Campeche and moving west into Mexico ten or more days from now.

There is a lot of time to watch it take shape, but at this point it does not appear it will get near the US. We'll continue to track it.

Here in Texas, they also said this potential system "Bonnie" will not pose a threat to our state. However, we really do need the rain badly.

here is a question for the forecasters and viewers, a cat 4-5 every 15 years or cat 1-2 every year. take your pick. note there is no exemption for getting more than 1 cat 1-2 per year
