my 240 with sr20det @16psi tomei arms sr b turbo kit, tomei 70mm TB, 3in exhaust, jun surgetank, 850cc top feeds, hks cams, rs enthalpy tune. Big ups to RS Enthalpy on the tune. I gave him a list of mods and alittle detailed info and i got an almost perfect tune out of the box.

@240sxmetal to many people think bigger is better, but i build this to be my daily driver so using a 256 with a little bigger lift allows me to keep my low end power to help spool the later spooling turbo sooner. a set of 264's or 272's would definetly give me more power up high but the turbo does that on its own so i chose to go alittle smaller to make up for some of the lag and retain my drivability.

@240sxmetal If you know what you are doing then most likely no issues. If it is the first motor you have ever built there are hundreds of things you can measure wrong (or forget to entirely). Using a torque plate when boring etc all things that people often forget. Even when experienced builders that normally build oldschool v8s have a go they often mess things up (as they are quite different) and you end up with a motor that grenades after 1000kms

your ok runnin higher than 13:1 a/f ratio? thats a bit lean to me.

@Grimnest Technically it is perfect stoich, but yes it would be referred to as lean by tuners.

@240sxmetal If you build it in your backyard it doesn't matter what parts you use it won't be reliable. Depends mainly on if the builder measured tolerances properly or not as to whether it would be reliable or not.

car is perfect now ill get som new vids up asap... fixed exhaust leak now runs 11:5 getting into boost. so the tune is actually alittle conservative.

@roflex2 My cars get put together in my back yard. Does that mean my .020 over bore fully balanced rotating assembly with sized bearings is going to be unreliable because I put my cars together not in an enclosed space? I kind of see what you're getting at but it's all about what's in the engine, not exactly where it's put together lol.

i wish more people understood tuning not just what they is a super safe tune but also slightly rich. if your sr is tuned right you will make good power with better response and fuel economy around 12.2, 10.4 at 7500 is way rich and a waist of fuel and rough on the what do i know lmao

small exhaust leak right at the wideband reads alittle lean just got it running still has some bugs to work out.

Actually buddy its 2012 now n she's still running like a champ only thing different is the turbo check my credentials I build a beast

this video was in 2010 with the mixture of gas I do not think it got to 2011 with that motor.

in my s13 at 6000rpm at 4 wear
I'm on 12.5. and that's not good, you have to be 10 to 11 to be safe

pbforlife3 is right. your running wayy lean. 14's in boost? surprised it hasnt blown yet. 13.5:1 is safe but close for an NA setup. turbo? hell no.

nope thats a wheel spin literally it still was rockin the open diff at that time.
